: LUSH Hotels – Aleenta Phuket :

I’d like to move to Phuket…. and get super tanned. Aleenta Resort is not the newest one in the area but it’s very well kept, and their minimal design is key to the comfort and gracefulness.

The resort was first started from a family who owned a piece of land in Pranburi, Hua Hin, Thailand, where they wanted to build a beach home. It was then a simple house, often a venue for the family for seafood barbecues and gatherings. In 2003, they have decided to share the joy and made it into a private home to visitors… the original house is now the Aleenta Pranburi Frangipani wing.

There are quite a few villas, rooms, and lofts in the resort, and we are staying in the “Ocean View Loft” with the bed upstairs, living room, balcony, and pool downstairs. Below are the photos of the interior:

There isn’t an excuse not to slow down when you have this view right from your balcony.

The Edge is one of the two restaurants in the resort, serving Thai fusion western food.

Our very first meal, followed by the dangerous Pina Colada and a strawberry version, right at the beach.

Daybeds on the infinity pool next to the beach here. Coconut is key to the whole “look and feel” here.

This is the other restaurant, The Natai, with amazing Thai food. Coconut steamed eggs is my favourite for breakfast… very soothing.

This is the reading room/library right next to the infinity pool and pool bar.

I have to say this spa is the highlight of the trip. Very well-equipped with an oxygen room for the oxygen spa.

The pre-massage begins with a foot massage here.

Then we hopped to the massage beds…

Inside the room, there’s this jacuzzi… I can stay in the room for hours.

The same sun is shining very differently in various parts of the world… and I’m planning to explore into them one by one!

This view… this sunset… is sooo mesmerising.

It was a good chillaxing break in this boutique resort. Everything just hit the spot, hassle-free, leaving you quality time for the brain to turn off. If you prefer to go to the Patong market for a few hours, there’s a shuttle bus every Tuesday morning at 10am, which comes back at 3pm.
